We are seeking volunteers with computer skills, and/or data analysis skills!
We need help with:
- Being on site at live food pantry distributions to register people in a computer system.
- Shadowing pantry representatives, answering questions, troubleshooting, etc. until they are comfortable registering people independently.
- Cleaning and analyzing service data to ensure data integrity and help drive organization decisions.
We are looking for people with experience in any of the following areas:
- Working with diverse populations, bilingual skills are a huge plus!
- Basic computer skills such as using web browsers, Microsoft Office, various software, etc.
- Teaching or training adult learners of a variety of skill levels.
- Customer service with an ability to exhibit calmness and helpfulness.
- Maintaining data integrity and analyzing data.

Description
Since 1982, the Regional Food Bank has been helping to feed the poor and hungry. It is the only organization of its kind in northeastern New York. The Food Bank collects large donations of food from the food industry and distributes it to charitable agencies serving hungry and disadvantaged people in 23 counties of New York State. The Food Bank distributed 24.9 million pounds of food to over 1,000 member agencies assisting low-income people duirng 2010.
