Harmony Movement is a non-profit and registered charity that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion through education and capacity-building programs. The organization works with schools, workplaces, and communities to foster understanding, respect, and empathy to build understanding across differences. Its goal is to empower individuals and organizations to create inclusive environments where everyone feels valued and respected. Our organization is excited to be celebrating 30 Years of work this year. To help celebrate this milestone, we have recorded an interview of our current Executive Director with the former Executive Director. There is approximately 1.5 hours of content we are looking to trim down into digestible bits and we need your help! Our team is seeking a creative and talented volunteer video editor. Working closely with the Executive Director, you will support the creation and design of engaging and impactful video content for this video project. This is a remote position within Canada and very flexible on hours. Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the Executive Director and Program Facilitators to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Editing raw footage into polished and professional videos that convey our message effectively
- Ensure videos are optimized for various platforms (e.g., social media, website) and formats (e.g., short clips, full-length videos)
- Strong creative, artistic and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) is desirable
