Role Description:
As a Volunteer Coordinator/Manager, you will be the spearheading all things volunteer-related within our organization. Depending on your interests and time available, your role may include recruiting/retention, admin/organization, onboarding/deboarding, appreciation efforts, coordinating/scheduling, and/or managing volunteer day-to-day tasks to support our initiatives. You'll work closely with our team to identify volunteer needs ensure a positive, rewarding volunteer experience.
Qualifications:
- Must be dependable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple volunteer activities and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners to achieve organizational goals and independently on tasks as needed.
- Some knowledge of best practices related to volunteer management and engagement is a plus, or a willingness to learn.
- Experience with volunteer management software or databases is a plus, specifically Monday.com and/or Microsoft apps.

We kindly request all our volunteers to commit a minimum of 3 months, aiming for a mutually beneficial experience. This approach allows volunteers the flexibility to reassess their commitment after the initial period, without feeling obligated to continue if their circumstances or desires change. By adopting this approach, both the volunteer and the foundation can ensure a more effective use of time and resources, avoiding potential disruptions to ongoing projects.
