Become a Mentor at Mentoring Plus!
ORGANIZATION: MENTORING PLUS
Please visit the new page to apply.
Mentoring Plus is seeking volunteers to train to become a Life Coach/Mentor for a teenager in need! Our devoted mentors provide high-risk teens with support in a nurturing environment, so together they overcome challenges and achieve success.
Mentors are the foundation and heart of our program. A mentor is a trusted adult friend with a long-term (12 months or more), consistent commitment to provide guidance and support to a youth.
Time commitment: Just 2-3 hours per week
Training: A mere three hours
Good feeling: Lasts forever
Not only do volunteers make the program rock, but they play a vital support role in keeping things running smoothly. If you’re not sure what capacity you may be able to fulfill, call Jess Prussia at 859-462-4152. We’re flexible and want this to be a good experience for you as well!
Time commitment: You decide what you are able to do
Training: Depends on your preferred tasks
Good feeling: Lasts forever

Description
Beginning with a vision to serve the most needy with top quality care and services, Mentoring Plus was founded in April of 2009 by several lifelong residents of Northern Kentucky. Through careful planning, proven methods and a lot of prayer, we have grown to where we are today.
We remain as committed as ever to establishing local partnerships that serve Northern Kentucky area teens and their families, promoting healing, cultivating personal growth and encouraging healthy and productive community involvement.
No other program in Kentucky gives high risk youth such a proven opportunity for positive change.
Mentoring Plus follows a proven methodology to help teens overcome the obstacles they face and turn them into opportunities through life coaching, spiritual guidance and family support. We don’t take our program lightly - its design is evidenced-based and formed from best practices. Most importantly, everyone’s situation is unique, so each teen’s needs are addressed individually, in accordance with our three-step process.
