Here is your opportunity to form a special bond with an older adult.
For more than 40 years, DOROT’s Friendly Visiting program has created thousands of meaningful and mutually beneficial friendships between volunteers and DOROT elders.
Volunteers elect to make weekly home visits or monthly home visits with a monthly call. During the visits, volunteers and older adults share conversation, opinions, hobbies, walks in the neighborhood and other experiences. The DOROT social work team matches each older adult and volunteer pair, based upon mutual interests, availability and geographic convenience. Our program model also utilizes DOROT social workers, who provide training and facilitate the relationship providing support to both the volunteer and older adult for the duration of their relationship.
If you are interested in learning more about this program, please register for an upcoming adult Volunteer Orientation and Information Session by visiting here: https://dorotusa.jotform.com/232264990755970
