LOGO OF LITERACY VOLUNTEERS

Literacy Volunteers of South Sarsota County is a non-profit organization that helps adults in the North Port and Venice areas learn and improve their English Literacy skills. Due to the war in Ukraine and changes in the immigration policies, we are experiencing a much greater need for our services. Please consider volunteering to make a difference in the life of someone. We offer training and ongoing support services.

Remote tutoring by volunteers not living in our area is also possible. We have a former teacher who leads Student Chats on Zoom with adults living in southwest Florida to help them learn English.
