Covenant Creatures Companion Animal Program is seeking volunteers. The work we do can be physically demanding and emotionally challenging, yet the rewards are great. Our mission is to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with animals for the purpose of well-being and growth.

As a volunteer you may be involved in:

  • Helping pack food, stock shelves and organizing or cleaning at our storage unit.
  • Picking up donations at local stores and vet clinics and delivering them to our storage unit.
  • Distributing pet food and supplies, fitting harnesses or collars to pets, and interacting with our clients at our Mobile Companion Care Center [MCCC] outreach events (typically the 4th Sunday of each month in downtown Olympia).

Volunteers learn security measures, how to safely hold animals for treatment, the handling and processing of paperwork and patient flow, and other supportive task needs.

CC relies on volunteers to implement our work. It is a serious commitment of your time. To do this work it is necessary to be able to bend, kneel, lift up to 40 lbs., stand for periods of time, sometimes in inclement weather, and maintain a good attitude. Patience with mental or physical impairments is also required. We ask you take this commitment seriously if you are interested in volunteering with us. We require volunteers to dedicate a minimum of four hours a month, either on Sunday afternoons at the MCCC or in another capacity (e.g. donation pick ups), with a minimum commitment of 6 months.

Following are other volunteer opportunities with Covenant Creatures, which may have different requirements than outlined above:

  • Data Entry
  • Fund Raising & Event Coordination
  • Veterinary Medicine
  • Veterinary Technician
  • Grant writing (requires the understanding of our organization, our goals, and our needs)
  • Volunteer training, organization and leadership
  • Public Relations/Public Speaking

Are you considering joining our team? Through dedicated care we create a higher quality of life, share love and help develop responsible solutions with pet owners. You will learn a lot through volunteerism, your life will expand and be bettered for your efforts.

If you feel Covenant Creatures might be a good fit for you and you can commit to it, please call us at 360-357-6301 or email CovenantCreatures@vircom.net to receive orientation documents, ask any questions, explore volunteer opportunities or set up a phone call, if desired.
