VITAS offers students enrolled in accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Supervised programs seeking to do their clinical internship in hospice care the opportunity to gain valuable insights and experience with our Bereavement Services staff and Chaplains. VITAS can serve as a placement site for the student and work with their sponsoring program through an Educational Affiliation agreement regarding program requirements and required hours. CPE Interns have the opportunity for experience in the field and the InPatient Unit providing care and spiritual support for patients and families. They will learn about end-of-life care, enhance personal and pastoral skills, and work with the VITAS psychosocialspiritual team under the site supervision of the Bereavement Services Manager.
