ORGANIZATION: DEV LAUNCHERS

Role Description: We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team and facilitate our Agile development process. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding and coaching our design team to deliver high-quality deliverables. You will facilitate Scrum events, remove obstacles, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within a design and research team.

About Our Team: At Dev Launchers, Universal Design is a cross-functional team responsible for maintaining Dev Launchers design system. Our focus extends globally, encompassing research governance and integrating universal features. We provide designers from other teams with essential resources such as design system documentation and facilitate feedback and reviews to ensure consistent and effective design implementation. Additionally, we support researchers by providing templates and guidelines for research operations. Our team tackles diverse global projects, including initiatives such as homepage redesign, notifications feature, and new members onboarding email templates to support our goal of achieving a better onboarding experience and increasing member retention.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Scrum events, including weekly meetings, sprint plannings, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Coach the design team on Agile principles and practices.
  • Remove impediments and blockers that affect the team's progress.
  • Work closely with the team leads to prioritize and refine the product backlog.
  • Foster collaboration and communication within the team.
  • Track and report team metrics and progress to stakeholders.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve the team's processes and practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and Scrum framework.
  • Experience working as a Scrum Master in Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams towards a common goal.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to navigate challenges effectively.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Zenhub is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a volunteer team setting
