Job Description:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teen Membership Coordinator to join our team. This volunteer position will play a crucial role in welcoming new members to our organization and ensuring that existing members feel supported and engaged. Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding Assistance: Assist with the onboarding process for new teen members, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Outreach Strategies: Develop and implement outreach strategies to attract new members, engaging with schools, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to promote membership opportunities.
  • Event Planning: Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute events and activities for members, ensuring that programming meets the needs and interests of our teen demographic.
  • Member Engagement: Actively engage with teen members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, fostering meaningful connections and relationships within the organization.
  • Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing support to current members, addressing any questions, concerns, or needs they may have and connecting them with appropriate resources as needed.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate membership records and reports, ensuring that all relevant information is up-to-date and accessible to the team.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Work with volunteers to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new members, providing training and support as needed.
  • Meetings and Training: Attend meetings and training as required, staying informed about organizational updates and participating in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with teens in a non-profit organization or similar setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with and engage young people effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of the needs and challenges facing teen girls today, with a commitment to supporting their personal and professional development.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
