ORGANIZATION: White Rose Hospice

  • 6 people are interested

White Rose Hospice is looking for volunteers like you to donate their time and talent to make a difference in the lives of our hospice patients.

Volunteers provide support and companionship to our patients by listening to their stories, holding their hand, helping with a favorite activity, or many other ways. These activities offer comfort and dignity as well as remind our patients how important they are the how pertinent they are to their family friends and society.

A volunteer can also allow for a care giver to have time to run to the grocery store, take a walk or go to a doctor's appointment.

We give free training which covers general information about hospice and how it works, volunteer do's and don'ts, and safety information. Requirements for volunteers include background check, TB test and orientation. The cost of these requirements are covered by White Rose Hospice. We are happy to work with your schedule and keep you as close to home as possible.
