Our volunteer team fluctuates between 100-200 team members and has included over 1000 volunteers representing more than 60 different countries. We are seeking a skilled electrical engineer with specialized knowledge in electrical layout design and cost analysis to help our team finalize the electrical plans for our DIY-replicable and sustainable straw bale classroom/school: https://www.onecommunityglobal.org/the-ultimate-classroom/

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in electrical design and project management
• Experience in sustainable building projects or renewable energy systems is preferred, but not required
• Proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit for electrical layout design
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations
• Passion for sustainability and a commitment to environmentally friendly design principles
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Proficient in or willing to learn Google Docs and Dropbox for collaboration
• Strong ability to creatively solve complex problems and communicate with a team in a remote work setting
• Willing to commit 10+ weekly hours for at least 3 months
