PetConnect Rescue (PCR) is an animal welfare organization dedicated to saving dogs and cats at high risk of euthanasia. Our compassionate volunteers and staff find loving homes for all the animals that come into our care and provide ongoing support throughout the adoption process and beyond.

Position Overview:

Are you passionate about creating compelling content that engages and inspires? Join our volunteer team as a Content Creator and play a pivotal role in amplifying our message across various platforms. We are seeking a creative individual who can generate impactful posts, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and keep up with social media trends to keep our content fresh and relevant.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop posts regularly or on an ad hoc basis, utilizing existing content or sourcing material from fosters, adoption coordinators, or adopters.
  • Monitor social media trends and recommend ideas to the team for reels and creative posts that align with our organization's mission and values.
  • Collaborate closely with the Advancement Manager and other team members to establish content calendars, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and aesthetic across all content channels.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in content creation, with a focus on Instagram and Facebook preferred
  • Familiarity with social media best practices and algorithms
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt messaging for different audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative mindset and the willingness to work closely with a cross-functional team
  • Passion for animal welfare and a genuine interest in our organization's mission
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Reliable access to computer and internet

PetConnect Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to placing abandoned dogs and cats in loving homes. PetConnect fosters animals from overcrowded shelters (usually at high risk of euthanasia) until they can be placed with a permanent family. All of our animals are spayed and neutered and receive full medical care. The placement process is a critical component of our mission as the personalities of both the animals and the adopters are carefully considered.
