Compassus Hospice is looking for volunteers to provide in-home/facility visits to hospice patients. Your caring presence allows family members the chance to run errands or keep appointments, or to give patients a welcome visit from a new friend.
We are also looking for office help and assistance with bereavement and grief support.
Our program provides training to volunteers and offers ongoing education, recognition and support.
Hours are flexible!

Compassus provides care state-wide through Michigan, including Borgess Health System, Genesys Health System, St. John Providence Health System, St. Joseph Health System and St. Mary’s of Michigan.
Many times the most healing setting for patients to receive their care is in the place they call home. While remaining at home at end of life can bring great comfort, it can also require professional care and support.
During those times, Compassus Hospice can make a profound difference in your life or the life of someone you love with our innovative and inspired care.

- Volunteers choose their own hours. We would love 2-3 hours a week set aside for patient visits, but we are flexible!
- Hospice state guidelines require background check, fingerprinting, and TB testing. Paid for by Compassus. Drivers license needed. Must be over the age of 18 and have a US social security number.
