Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled volunteer Podcast Producer to join our team and help produce engaging and informative podcast episodes centered around arts, culture, and community events. The Podcast Producer will play a key role in planning, recording, editing, and promoting our podcast content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm episode topics, guests, and formats.
- Schedule and conduct interviews with artists, performers, organizers, and community members.
- Record, edit, and produce podcast episodes using audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition).
- Ensure high audio quality and consistency throughout each episode.
- Write episode descriptions and show notes for each podcast episode.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to promote podcast episodes on social media platforms and other channels.
- Monitor podcast analytics and audience feedback to continuously improve content and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in podcast production, audio editing, or related fields preferred.
- Proficiency in audio editing software such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or similar programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and content creation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in arts, culture, and community engagement is a plus.

With advancements in DNA research, people all over the world are able to accurately find out if they have African ancestry. This is life changing for some many people who’s history was practically erased as a result of the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade.
