Lenox Hill Hospital is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our team as Lobby Ambassadors / Greeters.

As a Lobby Ambassador/Greeter Volunteer, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for patients, families, and visitors. Your warm demeanor and commitment to service excellence will contribute to enhancing the overall patient experience and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

We're looking for individuals with:

  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service.
  • Strong communication skills and efficient problem-solving abilities.
  • A genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service and ensure every visitor feels valued and supported.
  • Ideally, experience in a healthcare setting, though not mandatory.

In addition to welcoming visitors, your role will involve assisting staff at the Front Lobby by greeting, directing, and escorting patients, visitors, and the community to their destinations within the hospital. This may include providing walking or wheelchair transport assistance as needed. Flexible hours are available seven days a week.

Your responsibilities also extend to greeting all visitors at the front lobby, directing them to obtain ID badges from security, guiding those with appointments to the proper locations, assisting with locating medical records, directing visitors to different clinics throughout the hospital, and accompanying visitors or new staff to the security office for ID badge issuance.

Lenox Hill is a not-for-profit 652-bed acute care teaching hospital located on Manhattan's Upper East Side. It serves individuals who live in, work in or visit New York City, and people from other areas whose needs for certain tertiary or specialty services can best be met by Lenox Hill Hospital. Founded in 1857, the Hospital has long been a leader in many specialties such as cardiac care, orthopedic surgery, joint replacement, obstetrics and gynecology, high-risk neonatal care and pediatrics. The Hospital is dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care, providing medical education and training, and enhancing the health and well-being of the community through public health education and community outreach programs.
