Are you looking for a flexible volunteer opportunity that includes compassion and kindness, serving hospice patients and their families with the greatest care and love? Then OSF Hospice of Rockford needs you! We have opportunities available for volunteers to work directly with patients and families, providing emotional support, companionship and socialization. Some needs might include sitting with patients while family members go to an appointment or run an errand, visiting patients in nursing home facilities when loved ones cannot, or helping with light household tasks. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator Pamela Ward-Carr, at Pamela.L.Ward-Carr@osfhealthcare.org, or give her a call at 815-381-6330. We'd love to hear from you! Once a background check is performed, a few other requirements need to be met and you are on your way to giving valuable, meaningful time to those on their end-of-life journey.

Description
OSF has been caring for people in their homes for over 140 years. The Sisters founded this organization long before hospitals were available for medical care. We feel fortunate to continue to provide our state-of-the-art services across the OSF Ministry, allowing an opportunity for our patients to receive hospice care in the comfort of their homes or our hospice home while receiving the exceptional care they need. OSF Hospice provides care to those nearing the end of life's journey, focusing on comfort and quality of life. A specially trained team of professionals and caregivers will provide care for you as a "whole person", including your physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
