Patient Care Volunteers, are an essential part of the hospice team. Volunteers offer companionship, and support to hospice patients and their families. The joy that a volunteer brings patients and family caregivers is a special and memorable friendship. Patients enjoy a caring, friendly face for chatting, reading, playing games, watching tv, listening to music, and sharing stories. Volunteers also offer a respite break for the caregiver to run errands or simple relief.
