Barrier Breakers(r) is looking for dedicated college counseling volunteers to join our team to help us as we serve pro bono high school students on Free and Reduced Lunch and from Title I schools for the 2025-2027 application process.

Barrier Breakers, Inc. is dedicated to increasing access to and success in higher education for BIPOC and other marginalized students. Our 501(c)(3) non-profit provides financial assistance, educational resources, and consulting for higher education applicants.

Description

Our current focus is to increase the number of lawyers who are persons of color. Currently Black lawyers make up only 4.5% of all associates. We are working to change this by assisting individuals with their law school applications. In helping them formulate strong applications, our clients have had strong results. Further, we also assist them in gaining financial support for their educational endeavor. To date our students have been granted over $460 million in scholarships.
