Mission Objectives:
Our mission within the VR domain focuses on:

  • Cultivating Communities: either in VR or IRL, building & maintaining supportive spaces that allow historically underrepresented & marginalised ethnic minority & LGBTQ+ communities to thrive is what we're about;
    • think of it as taking time to explore areas or the metaverse or WebXR
  • Enhancing User Experience: assist with utilising VR to deliver engaging experiences that promote mental well-being & foster social connections.
    • Think contacting VR/MR companies & organisations like LiminalVR or Tripp & coming up with monthly themes for our networking events

  • Instilling Essential Field Skills: Teaching goal setting, financial literacy and the crucial art of digital safety & identity protection.
  • Community Building: Fortifying our ranks by creating a network of empowered agents ready to handle the important things life will throw at them;

Operational Compensation: While this role is a voluntary mission, agents will receive an in-kind donation receipt. These receipts can be used to your tactical advantage on tax fronts. For specifics on calculating your potential deductions, a strategic reconnaissance on sites like the IRS will provide you with the standard operative rates. Should you need backup, contact our HQ.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: You will receive an in-kind donation receipt for your service. An in-kind donation offers certain benefits, particularly due to the ability to aggregate the donation figure. To determine the appropriate deduction, we recommend conducting a straightforward search on IRS or Glassdoor websites to find the industry standard rates. These rates can then be reported to the IRS as deductions on your tax returns for the subsequent years. If you have any questions or require assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to ourselves or the IRS. We greatly appreciate your service & commitment to our mission.

About Operation ADULTING Incorporated

Location:

303 W 142nd St, New York, NY 10030, US

Mission Statement

Formed by Millennials & Gen-Zers to ensure a more level playing field when underrepresented innovators leave the orbits of high school & college!

Description

"What are your plans after graduating?"
"After carefully reviewing your application, we've chosen a candidate with more hands-on experience"
"If only I'd known about X when I was your age" We've all heard the aforementioned at some point of our lives; yet we spend most of our waking hours liking and sharing IG posts, in banter with an opposing Twitter user or actively avoiding our futures with some sort of distraction. Operation: Adulting(tm) is here to assist high school seniors with responsibly navigating their independence while assisting college seniors with their transition into adulthood. There are millions of young people around the planet with a passion for careers in Science, Space, Technology, Arts & Media yet have no access to technology available in developed countries. The people left paying for the wreck that is the covid pandemic will be future generations of young people. We're here to give them a fighting chance.
