Mission Statement

Provide knowledge, resources, and tools to help individuals and families born into generational poverty break the cycle of poverty and build generational wealth.

Description

The Melson Foundation is a DC-based non-profit organization founded by Rashema Melson, the founder, and CEO of Pain into Purpose. As the first in her family to overcome generational poverty, she created the foundation to empower and educate others on how money works so they can use money as a tool to create their best lives. Whether your goal is saving for your first home, getting out of debt, going to college, giving your child better opportunities, or starting a business, we're here to help. We provide financial literacy education, workshops, and resources to help you gain the knowledge and skills to make sound financial decisions. Our goal is to help those in our community not only understand the basics of financial literacy but also learn how to manage and invest their money.
