Bay Area Green Tours 501(c)3 creates interactive tours and experiences highlighting the regenerative economy in action, to inspire and educate youth and adults to build a more enduring, resilient, and just future.

We have been operating since 2008 and work remotely with a committed, fun, and sharp group of interns and volunteers. We are a nonprofit organization made up of passionate people who care about the environment and about sustainability.

We are looking for a volunteer or intern Copywriter/Editor who will be responsible for conceptualizing ideas and developing written content. They will lead specific assignments, be involved in strategy development, and ensure that concepts are on point.

Responsibilities:

• Write different types of documents such as newsletters, emails, and landing pages

• Assist the team in drafting and researching concepts

• Edit copy based on feedback from the team

• Create clear and engaging content that aligns with the organization’s mission and voice

Skills:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret all forms of information

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Well organized with an eye for detail

• Working knowledge of apps like Google Suite with an interest and aptitude to learn new programs

• Passionate about environmental issues and solutions for the future

We are looking for someone who loves writing, collaborating, and clear communication, and enjoys the flexibility of working with different people and projects. We ask for a minimum 4-month commitment for 5-10+ hours per week, with flexible start and end dates.
