Campus Horticulture and Grounds Workday at Perkins School for the Blind

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Perkins

Perkins School for the Blind mission is to build a world where people with complex disabilities and visual impairments can learn and thrive. Our campus is 38+ acres and we also help maintain a campus-adjacent Braille Trail.

Our Campus Horticulture and Grounds Support Workdays help us with many projects that support all of Perkins, including our Vocational Horticulture Program, our Braille Trail partnership with DCR, our greenhouse and youth sensory gardens, pollinator gardens, green roof, and our campus grounds plantings. Many workdays also help us support outdoor accessibility for our students.

Workdays are weather and need dependent and are happening this spring and early summer. Please wear closed toed shoes, dress in layers for outdoor activities, bring a water bottle and gloves (we will provide as well as needed). Upcoming dates:

Saturday June 1: 10am-12pm
Saturday June 8: 10am-12pm
Saturday July 13: 10am-12pm
