The WA State LTC Ombudsman Program needs volunteers who will listen to and advocate for the rights of residents who live in licensed long term care faciliites. Volunteers are trained and certified to help residents understand their rights. We help empower residents to stand up for their rights and help those who do not have the ability to do so. The LTC Omdudsman is often the first line of protection for over 80,000 vulnerable adults in WA State.

Mission Statement
"Ensuring the rights, dignity, and well-being of individuals living in long-term care today and tomorrow."
Description
The Lewis, Mason, Thurston Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is seeking compassionate individuals to visit and provide assistance to residents living in licensed long-term care facilities.
A visiting volunteer Ombudsman educates residents about their rights, empowers residents to seek resolution regarding concerns about care or abuse, and problem-solves for those unable to take action. We desire reasonable accommodations for a resident's care and quality of life.
Your presence can make a difference in the lives of these remarkable people in long term care.
If you have a few hours a week to spare and a desire to make a difference, then our program is for you!
We offer a flexible schedule, mileage reimbursement, appreciation events, and a great team atmosphere.
