Do you love to help people train their dog? Do you have an interest in being a dog trainer and want to learn about Animal Humane Society's best practices? If so, this volunteer position is for you!
In this role as a Training School Assistant, volunteers work with the Training School staff to play a pivotal support role in keeping animals in their home. You’ll assist staff with checking in students as they arrive for class, setting up rooms for classes, general classroom assistance and cleaning, and additional duties as needed to help training and behavior programs run smoothly.

Description
The Animal Humane Society is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the welfare of all animals. The Society seeks to maintain and develop programs and facilities which promote and expand the human/animal bond. Incorporated in 1891 as the Minneapolis Humane Society, the organization was known as the Animal Rescue League for many years. In 1965 the name was changed to the Animal Humane Society of Hennepin County. In 1999, the name was officially changed to Animal Humane Society, in part to clarify the fact that the organization is not part of the county government and is not supported by tax dollars.
