ORGANIZATION: FOSTER CARE FURNITURE

Image_202404211553

Foster Care Furniture, FcF makes furniture at the Maker Shop Boise. The furniture is sold and all proceeds go to the foster care program. We train youth aging-out of foster care in a 13-week training program. As part of their training they assist in making the furniture we sell.

We are looking for a few volunteers to work in this brand new 7,000 square foot building that has all the tools needed to make fine woodworking projects. Volunteers will be trained to use the equipment and help us build various types of furniture. Need help during the month of August.

Volunteers get a 5 day pass to the Maker Shop if they agree to work 3 hours per day with FcF making furniture. The shop is open from 9am to 9pm so that leaves the volunteer 9 hours each day to work on their own projects. Need help during the month of August and September. The five days can be any time during the month, they do not need to be consecutive days.
