Youth for Innocence is looking for high-school and undergraduate students to join our post-conviction team! We summarize, evaluate, and investigate wrongful conviction cases, giving students real-life experience with the law while correcting injustices in the criminal justice system. No experience is needed; we provide interactive training to teach new volunteers about the basics of law and our specific work. We can validate community service hours upon request.
In order to join our organization, you must be enrolled in high school, an undergraduate program, or some equivalent. If you do not fit this criteria, please email us about why you think you still fit within Youth for Innocence's mission of empowering youth to overturn wrongful convictions. Volunteers must also be proficient in English writing.
To take advantage of this volunteer opportunity, you can sign up here through VolunteerMatch, contact us at info@youthforinnocence.org, or sign up for our training course on our website at youthforinnocence.org/training.
