ORGANIZATION: The Animal Pad

TAP Logo

The Animal Pad all-breed dog rescue is looking to expand our Fundraising department! We're searching for dedicated volunteers to help us in various capacities under the Fundraising umbrella of our rescue - all completely remote. Fundraising directly impacts TAP's ability to fulfill its mission of saving these rescued underdogs!

As a 100% donation based and volunteer run organization, fundraising is truly essential to our success! Being a rescue that saves dogs primarily from the streets of Mexico and known for taking in the most severe cases, our vet bills are higher than most and what the vast majority of our funds go toward. We rescue an increasingly high volume of dogs each year, and rely solely on the support of the public, as we don't qualify for most grants due to rescuing outside of the States.

Fundraising Roles Available:

  1. Answering Donation Emails: Responding to inquiries, expressing gratitude, and providing support to our generous donors.
  2. Managing Donorbox: Pulling donation reports, creating campaigns, and ensuring accurate records.
  3. Managing FreeWill: Overseeing our FreeWill platform, assisting users, promoting legacy giving opportunities, and meeting monthly with our account strategist.
  4. Managing Social Media Campaigns: Creating engaging content, scheduling posts, and interacting with our partners to boost fundraising efforts.
  5. Researching Available Grants: Identifying potential funding sources, compiling information, and supporting our grants team in their efforts.
  6. Legacy Gifts: A crucial role in helping TAP secure long-term financial support by encouraging donors to include our organization in their estate plans.
  7. Administrative Support to the team and Directors: Exact description TBD - will be dependent on Fundraising dept needs and may vary.

Your skills and dedication can help us make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve. Together, we can and DO achieve such great things for the dogs that we're all in this for!

About The Animal Pad

Location:

4620 Avocado Blvd, La Mesa, CA 91941, US

Mission Statement

The Animal Pad is a nonprofit, all-breed dog rescue based in San Diego, CA that focuses on saving dogs from the streets of Mexico and high kill shelters. We get them the vet care they need, place them in foster homes and then find them loving forever families. Our mission is to form a safe space for dogs experiencing crisis and neglect, and to build a community of compassion through education, rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption. Our community of volunteers and fosters strives to ensure that all dogs get a fighting chance, and believes that no case is too extreme to be helped - meaning our rescue is full of perfectly imperfect dogs who can’t wait to meet you!

Description

Here at TAP, we give voice to the voiceless and our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find them the best homes possible. Founded in 2010, The Animal Pad is volunteer run and funded entirely by donations. We rescue dogs primarily off the streets of Mexico as well as high kill shelters here in California, and provide them full medical care and a loving foster home to heal in before they head to their adoptive home.
