Join us for a celebration of science innovation, discovery and education in North Carolina.

On Saturday, April 27, we’re celebrating the Grand Opening of Dueling Dinosaurs - an exciting new exhibit that will forever change how we view the world’s two favorite dinosaurs - the tyrannosaur and the Triceratops. Enter the world of a paleontologist, where you’ll see dinosaur fossils still encased in the sediment that buried them. Watch scientists in their lab as they uncover, grain by grain, the dinosaurs that lie beneath. Talk to the research team as they work to piece together this mystery. Join us on a thrilling journey of scientific exploration, 67 million years in the making.

The Dueling Dinosaurs Grand Opening is a community celebration of STEM innovation in North Carolina that brings research to the forefront, and is part of the North Carolina Science Festival. Enjoy meeting Museum scientists as they showcase our research and collections. Meet scientists and professionals from universities and other organizations. Join in the excitement of paleontology, science and technology with fun hands-on activities, games, crafts and presentations. Programs are designed for all ages and stages of learning, and families are encouraged to attend.
