About Guide Dogs

Location:

New Zealand House, 160-162 Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY2 6AL, GB

Mission Statement

We are Guide Dogs. And we’re here to help people with sight loss live the life they choose. Children and adults. Friends and family. Whoever you are, our expert staff, volunteers and life-changing dogs are here for you. To help you live actively, live independently and live well. Together, we can help people affected by sight loss live their lives to the full.

Description

Every six minutes in the UK one more person loses their sight.
Every day, 250 more people join the 2 million already living with sight loss.
And this number is set to double.
We are Guide Dogs and we are here to help those affected by sight loss live the life they choose.

Since 1931, Guide Dogs has been supporting people with sight loss, helping them to lead confident and independent lives. But we know we must do more to help the increasing number of people living with sight loss, and those who love and care for them. In recent years, Guide Dogs has expanded our services beyond our dogs to help thousands more people with different needs lead confident, independent and fulfilling lives.
