Become a trained therapy dog handler to work with our VERY FIRST facility-owned therapy dogs, Envy and Ace, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit!
Therapy dogs provide motivational, supportive, and therapeutic benefits to enhance quality of life. They visit patients in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, as well as patients in therapies. They are also important in supporting families and team members. While the dog does a lot of the work, we are looking for people who not only enjoy dogs, but also enjoy interacting with people.
Ace is a male black goldendoodle, a rescue from the Michigan Humane Society. Envy is a small female golden retriever. Both dogs are as sweet and intelligent as they are cute!
