Suncrest Hospice is looking for volunteers to join the Suncrest Team as we provide excellent care and support to our Hospice patients and their families in their home or facility. The philosophy of hospice care is to provide comfort and the highest quality of life that one can achieve at the end of life. Through an interdisciplinary team: nurse, home health aide, social worker, Chaplin and volunteers, we help the patient and family walk through their journey.
Many volunteers decide to assist with hospice following the death of a loved one in their own lives. Rather than focusing on death, hospice volunteering offers the opportunity to help someone find fulfillment and comfort during the final days of their life.
Suncrest welcomes the unique abilities and talents volunteers bring with them, allowing volunteers to support someone’s dignified end-of-life in multiple ways. Quilting lap blankets is the perfect way to give your time in the comfort of your own home.
Volunteers play a critical role in hospice, and I would love the opportunity to chat with you over the phone about our volunteer program and our lap blanket pledge. I look forward to speaking with you!
