Ballet Fantastique's Grant Writer team is absolutely vital to establishing a strong arts presence in our area. Grant Writers track down profiles for community-level foundations, state, and federal grant sources, identifying good matches between sources and Ballet Fantastique's critically-acclaimed education, outreach, and concert programs. Next, Writers meet with the Executive Director to target specific grants before writing and applying for funding. Areas of interest for grants include innovative upcoming performances and collaborations, our Rising Star Scholarship Program, capacity building for the EXPERIENCE DANCE! Project and for our chamber ballet company (the only of its kind and a crucial performance outlet for young professional dancers in our area), and educational/outreach programming. You'll be best matched for this position if you enjoy writing and researching and have some experience with grant writing. Those with no experience are welcome to develop this very marketable skill by working with a more experienced staff member on grants. Much of the work can be completed at home on your own schedule.
