Education Coordinator and Outreach - Volunteer Opportunity
Organization: One Bread Foundation, Inc. - Nationwide NGO Combating Human Trafficking
Time Commitment: 1.5 hours minimum per week
Location: Fully remote, San Francisco Bay Area-based organization with nationwide team
Overview: We are in the fight to End Human Trafficking in our country, One Bread Foundation, Inc. exists for the sole purpose of making grants for the Rehabilitation of Children and Teens rescued from Sex Trafficking nationwide.
The Role:
The Outreach and Education Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving awareness and education about child trafficking issues within communities. Working remotely, this role focuses on engaging with various organizations, schools, youth groups, churches, and other relevant entities to facilitate workshops and distribute educational materials on trafficking awareness. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be adept at building partnerships, and demonstrate a commitment to addressing social issues.
Reporting Structure:
The position reports directly to the Director of Education.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Previous experience in outreach, community engagement, education, or related fields preferred.
· Familiarity with issues related to child trafficking or a willingness to learn about such issues.
Other Requirements:
· Access to a reliable internet connection and necessary computer equipment to perform remote tasks.
· Passion for addressing social issues, particularly child trafficking, and a commitment to raising awareness and educating communities about this issue.
· Ability to work collaboratively with the Director of Education, Education Presenter, and Public Speaker to support outreach activities effectively.
· Eagerness to gather feedback and evaluate outreach initiatives to continuously improve and enhance future efforts.
General Responsibilities:
Weekly Meeting Coordination:
· Attend a weekly meeting with the Director of Education.
· Forge partnerships with organizations, schools, youth groups, churches, etc., to host workshops and disseminate educational materials on trafficking awareness.
· Collaborate with the Education Presenter and Public Speaker to coordinate and support outreach activities effectively.
· Facilitate attendee engagement and registration for workshops and educational events.
· Gather and analyze feedback and evaluations from outreach activities to enhance future initiatives.
Outreach and Communication:
· Assist in the development and implementation of outreach strategies to promote educational programs and initiatives.
· Communicate with stakeholders, including educators, students, and community partners, to foster engagement and participation in programs.
Event Planning and Support:
· Assist in the planning and execution of educational workshops, seminars, and other events, including logistics coordination, attendee registration, and on-site support.
Skills and Abilities:
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including organizations, schools, youth groups, and churches.
· Ability to build and maintain partnerships with external entities to facilitate workshops and distribute educational materials.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate events, manage attendee registration, and gather feedback effectively.
· Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms for remote collaboration and outreach efforts.
