Advanced Hospice is seeking volunteer support for our patients and invites community members to realize one of life's most rewarding experiences by serving as an Advanced Hospice volunteer.
Volunteers can serve in a variety of ways including:
- Clerical Tasks
- Educational Fairs
- Bereavement Support
- Patient Visitation/Assistance
We allow for a flexible schedule - you tell us the amount of time you can give and what day(s) work(s) best for you! As a certified Medicare hospice our volunteers are viewed as an essential part of our team but to our patients you are so much more!
Volunteering with hospice helps people to grow! The vulnerable population we serve depends on our helping hearts to make each day the best it can be!
Candidates must:
1. Submit an application
2, Provide 3 references
3. Successfully pass background check
4. Show proof of reliable transportation with current insurance
5. 2 Step TB Screening or medical letter stating why not necessary (for patient visitation volunteers.)
Training is provided appropriate to he desired role. Advanced Hospice embraces the understanding that dying is a natural part of living and we accept the responsibility to uphold the dignity of life in accordance with our patients' values and wishes along their end-of-life journey.
