About NMCRS Whidbey Island

Location:

260 W Pioneer Way, Seaplane Base, Bldg 13, Oak Harbor, WA 98278, US

Mission Statement

The mission of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is to provide, in partnership with the Navy and Marine Corps, financial, educational, and other assistance to members of the Naval Services of the United States, eligible family members, and survivors when in need; and to receive and manage funds to administer these programs.

Description

As a non-profit, volunteer service organization, we use both financial and non-financial resources to identify solutions to meet emerging needs. We help clients improve personal financial skills and encourage individual financial responsibility. Our non-financial services include an NMCRS Thrift and Uniform shop, Budget For Baby(r) (B4B) classes and Visiting Nurse. Our thrift/uniform shop offers opportunities for eligible patron and their families to get great prices on clothing, uniforms, and household goods. B4B(r) workshops offer expectant parents the tools to plan for baby's impact to the budget. Our Visiting Nurse provides health education and resource referrals to promote health maintenance and continuity of care throughout the lifespan.
