Do you have a passion for helping others pursue their educational and career aspirations? Join us, in partnership with Smart Horizons, at Gwinnett County Public Libraries, as a mentor for the Career Online High School Virtual program. We're actively looking for enthusiastic mentors who are ready to inspire, support, and encourage others. This is a remarkable opportunity to have a positive impact on our community.
As a Career Online High School Mentor, you will be matched with adult learners, aged 19 and above, who are enrolled in our program to assist them in meeting their diploma requirements. Your responsibilities will entail attending a virtual orientation, maintaining at least two virtual interactions per month with your students, offering guidance on library resources, and taking part in our annual graduation ceremony. The typical monthly time investment for mentoring two students simultaneously is estimated to be between one to two hours.
