Anyone with a caring heart and a little time to share can become a hospice volunteer. Caris Healthcare Volunteers come from all walks of life and bring a wide variety of interests and life experiences to support and comfort the patients and families Caris is privileged to serve.
Our Special Project Volunteers contribute their creative talents in a number of ways, including but not limited to:
- Crocheting small blankets and pillows
- Singing and playing music
- Making crafts
- Making cards
- Assisting at events and presentations
- AND SO MUCH MORE!
Caris offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for anyone with a little time and a big heart - from teens to seniors, there's a meaningful volunteer role waiting for you!
- No experience necessary
- Volunteers enjoy flexible scheduling
- Opportunities are available for patient visitation, administrative, and/or special project tasks
- Caris provides ongoing training and education for all volunteers
- Volunteering for hospice satisfies most community service requirements for high school and college students
- For the safety of our patients and their loved ones, all hospice volunteers are subject to a background screening
