Interim Healthcare of Oakland County is a full-service hospice that supports a person’s quality of life when time is limited. We provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to our patients, and those that love and care for them. We are looking for a volunteer in-home companion to serve our patients in western Oakland County. As member of our Hospice team, volunteers have a tremendous impact on the lives of the patients and families we serve. These volunteers provide social visits for the patients and the families that we serve, and can have a huge impact on both our patients and their caregivers. These visits support our patients by enhancing socialization, and providing meaningful connections. We work with our volunteers, and our families, to make sure these social visits are meaningful and centered around that individual. Social visits may include, but are not limited to, providing bedside companionship, playing their favorite game, reading their favorite book, reminiscing with the individual, and more. In-home Companion Volunteers must be 18+ years of age, and willing to complete our required onboarding and training process. For more information, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Lisa Gardner, at (248) 629-0603 or ligardner@interimhealthcare.com.
