Mission Statement
Under the auspices of the Office of Legislative Services, the State House Tour Office welcomes all the world's people - but particularly New Jersey's youth - and teaches them about the legislative process through guided tours and educational programs, fostering active participation in civic life.
Description
Volunteers provide a one-hour guided tour of the State House. All volunteers participate in a full training program dedicated to providing information necessary to lead tours of the building. Volunteers must be able to contribute at least twelve tours a year to the tour program. Essential qualities include flexibility, interest, enthusiasm, stamina, and good humor.
