Mission Statement

The mission of Community Healthcare of Texas and Community Healthcare of Texas-Providence Hospice is to provide compassionate, end-of-life care services. Our vision is to be the recognized leader for end-of-life care in all of our communities. Our core values and standards of behavior include compassion, integrity, commitment, teamwork, service, and quality.

Description

In 1996 leaders from Harris Hospital, The Daughters of Charity (now Ascension Providence), and Huguley Hospital (now a Texas Health Resource partner) all had a vision. They dreamed of creating a not-for-profit community-based hospice dedicated to providing the highest quality end-of-life care services for children and adults across the Dallas, Fort Worth, and Waco communities.

That dream became a reality on May 1, 1996, when the largest not-for-profit hospice in the state was formed as Community Hospice of Texas in the DFW area and

As the largest not-for-profit hospice and palliative care organization in Texas, we are proud to offer adult and pediatric palliative care and hospice services to our patients and their families.

As the first pediatric hospice provider in the DFW and Waco areas, we pioneered care for children facing a life-limiting illness. Today, our Little Doves Pediatric Hospice Program serves children from pre-birth to young adulthood, and we remain the sole provider of pediatric hospice care in the Waco area.
