ORGANIZATION: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

The Cochiti Lake Project is seeking volunteer support during our recreation season from 01 September - 15 October. 2024. Join our team and provide assistance with visitor services, project beautification, facility maintenance, environmental stewardship, and public engagement to promote our volunteer program. Time commitments and scheduling are flexible, but volunteers are encouraged to work 24-29 hours/week in exchange for an RV site, water, electric, sewar, and propane. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and be willing to wear a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers volunteer uniform (shirt, hat, and name tag).


Duties:


  1. Staffing ad operating the Cochiti Lake Visitor Center
  2. Staffing and operating the entrance kiosk
  3. Providing visitor services and camping information
  4. Picking up trash/facility sanitation
  5. Garden support-weeding, watering, pruning, planting, & mulching
  6. Opening and closing gates for recreation facilities
  7. Campground care and upkeep
  8. Running our Life Jacket Loaner Program
  9. Other projects and interest are encouraged!
