Are you passionate about helping others? Change someone’s life by volunteering once a week and gain great personal satisfaction from knowing that you have made a difference.
Fresno Hospice is looking for volunteers for our Madera patients. As a volunteer you will be a key part of hospice care by providing companionship and socialization to patients and support to their families.
Hospice volunteers DO NOT provide any medical or personal hygiene services.
Some examples of services a hospice volunteer can do are:
- Provide companionship.
- Provide socialization.
- Being a comforting and supportive presence.
- Do activities such as reading to patients, playing games, or watch movies/TV
- Provide caregiver relief.
- If there is a different way you would like to volunteer that is not listed, reach out to us. Everyone has a passion. If we can support that passion while providing a service to our patients, it all leads to a successful outcome.
Volunteer service is typically once a week for 1 to 3 hours. The days of the week and times are flexible, and we will work with your availability and schedule.
For more information or a volunteer application, please visit fresnohospice.net/volunteer, call/text Paula at 559-544-3326 or email pcubangbang@fresnohospice.net
