Hospice Volunteer
ORGANIZATION: Enhabit Hospice
Please visit the new page to apply.
Enhabit Hospice is looking for volunteers to provide comfort care to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and to what types of activities you want to do.
There are many ways hospice volunteers can help. For example, a volunteer can run errands for the patient and their family, play games or read with the patients, deliver flowers to patients celebrating special events or to simply let them know we care, and walk or care for family pets. We also have volunteers who participate in our Paws for Comfort pet therapy program. If you have a creative edge, Enhabit Health Hospice has opportunities for volunteers to make photo albums for patients and their families, to assist patients in writing letters to loved ones, or to help the patient journal.
