The Special Olympics Young Athletes program is an innovative sports play program for children ages 2 through 7 designed to introduce young children with intellectual disabilities, their peers and their families to the world of Special Olympics.

Young Athletes ages 2 through 7 participate in movement and motor skill games and activities year-round, including traditional soccer skills (fall), basketball skills (winter), and introductory track and field events (spring). The Young Athletes Program helps improve coordination and motor skills in preparation for traditional Special Olympics programs beginning at age 8.

1 Shift

  • evening / 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM EST - Spots available: 5
    This is a weekly program from Early April to mid May. we are looking for a lead or a group whod like to run the program. Must be available every week

Special Olympics Delaware has been changing the lives of Delawareans since 1971. Through sports training and competition in 20 sports, more than 4,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities have proven that, given the chance, no disability is too great to overcome.
