Work as the Communications Advisor, with a dynamic team to support project communications.

initiatives across the FARIAD operational regions.

Demonstrate an impact through Sustainable Agriculture in the Ghana with FARIAD project.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support in the development of communication strategies for FARIAD.
  • Create a database of Farmers and Members using MS Cloud or other equally efficient and effective systems.
  • Support the documentation of agricultural market systems by developing short videos and photographs depicting women and youth, products and processes.
  • Accompany the team on field visits and selected agricultural markets to capture photos and video footage.
  • Collaborate with the FARIAD Secretariat and Field Officers in developing related communications materials and graphic needs.
  • Maintain FARIAD on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social media platforms.
  • Draft qualitative case studies to capture project results and impact.
  • Participate in pre-assignment training.
  • Design and participate in at least 3 public engagement initiatives before, during, or after the assignment. Volunteers will be equipped with the tools, training, and support to achieve these goals. Volunteers will also have one virtual check-in with the Projects Officer throughout their assignment.
  • Set up a personalized volunteer fundraising page on the FARIAD platform and share it in your networks.
  • Volunteers will be supported with the tools, training and support to achieve the fundraising goal.

  • lens is consistently applied in the execution of all activities

  • Support partners to empower
  • young women and promote a culture of gender sensitive representation in
  • all activities and program benefits

  • Submit reports as required by
  • the partner organization and by FARIAD.



Experience

and Qualifications




  • Degree and/or training in
  • Marketing/Communications or a related field

  • Minimum of two years
  • professional experience in your field of expertise

  • Basic photography, videography,
  • graphics and social media skills are required

  • Experience of travel and
  • working in different cultures an asset

  • A commitment to gender
  • equality, youth inclusion, and international volunteering

  • Flexibility, adaptability,
  • excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity

  • Experience with group
  • facilitation and trainings, including content development considered an
  • asset

  • Experience living and working rural
  • communities considered an asset.

  • Written and oral fluency in
  • English
