About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven and experienced Volunteer Advertising Sales Representative to join our team at MatchingDonors.com. As our Advertising Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling advertising space and services to businesses in order to drive revenue for MatchingDonors.com to help save the lives of people needing organ transplants.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, pitch, and sell a mix of our customized solutions and digital advertising opportunities across our many websites, email newsletters, and social media channels; then close the deal.
- Find new accounts through cold calls, social media involvement and attending events.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective advertising strategies and campaigns.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor offerings, constantly seeking innovative ways to deliver value to our advertisers.
- Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers at running-related brands, agencies, and organizations.
- Collaborate with our internal teams (editorial, marketing, etc.) to create successful ad campaigns that resonate with our audience.

Qualifications
- 3-5+ years Advertising sales experience.
- Solid selling and account management skills
- Experience hunting new opportunities within new accounts.
- Ability to develop leads.
- Understanding of how to cold-call and being comfortable with it.
- You must be comfortable with email marketing.
- Formal sales training similar to Miller Heimann, MEDDIC, Challenger, and Power Messaging is nice to have, but certainly not required.
