ORGANIZATION: Hospital for Special Care

Do you have customer service experience? Do you have Food Service experience? Do you enjoy socializing with others? This may be the perfect volunteer position for you!!!

We are looking for two volunteers to manage the popcorn machine - which include set up, following the steps needed to make the popcorn, fill the individual bags of popcorn and hand them to staff, clean the machine once done, and return the machine to the storage area.

Day of the week is flexible - any day Monday-Friday - as long as it is the same day each week.

Time frame: about 11:00AM-2:00PM.

Description

Hospital for Special Care is a private, not-for-profit, 228 bed Long-Term, Acute-Care hospital licensed by the state of CT. as a chronic disease hospital. The hospital is renowned for its expertise in physical rehabilitation, respiratory care and medically-complex pediatrics. In addition, special programs are available in the treatment of spinal cord injuries and illness, acquired brain injuries, strokes and breathing disorders.

We also provide a full range of outpatient services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, rehabilitation evaluation, neuropsychology and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. The hospital also includes a 27,000 foot Aquatic Rehabilitation Center, which completes the full spectrum of rehabilitation and community fitness activities offered.

We also have a 28 bed satellite facility located within Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT. The satellite serves patients who are medically or surgically complex and/or require specialized care.
