Become a part of the BFB team by volunteering for one of our student-led projects called #RootstoRoutes! This is project that focuses on connecting 1st, 2nd, 3rd generation youth with their culture and heritage through art. In this project, students are encouraged to learn and explore their ethnic art style and transform it into an art piece following a broad theme. These submissions including descriptions on the artist’s choices and art piece will be displayed in a virtual art gallery for a public view. By using this strategy, this project is available to all, giving the new generation a way to therapeutically connect with their heritage.
We are currently looking for student volunteers (middle to highschool students) to:
-Help with the #RootstoRoutes Instagram account by creating posts and assisting with outreach
-Review art submissions and choose category winners
-Help with website design and maintenance
