Mission:
To change social beliefs, attitudes and the behaviors that perpetuate domestic violence while creating a safe space in which to empower individuals and families affected by abuse.
Role Responsibilities:
Volunteers support legal advocates in assisting clients with all phases of civil restraining order ligation, including assessment; court accompaniment, and supported services.
Availability: Volunteers may serve 8 hours a week. Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-12pm
Commitment: 6 months
This position requires a state certified 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training.
